Time language

Why QuoAnno uses BC and AD

QuoAnno uses BC and AD consistently in the game so the timeline has one clear player-facing convention. AD is the Latin Anno Domini.

Deep time

Why human history looks tiny

On a linear 4.5-billion-year timeline, nearly all written history collapses into less than a pixel. QuoAnno uses a logarithmic time canvas so both T. rex and Caesar can be playable.

Evidence

Why some answers are ranges

A modern release can have an exact day. A fossil lineage may only be dated to a geological interval. The game stores uncertainty rather than inventing a fake exact date.
